The BIG Serve

Big Serve

Education involves training the whole person to live in service to God and neighbor, so Regents Academy aims to prepare students to be servant leaders in their community. The BIG Serve is our school's annual community service project. "BIG" stand for Blessed In Giving -- and our school is truly blessed to give back to our community through this project. Each spring all KPrep-12th students spend an entire day serving their neighbors through partners such as Love INC, Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful, and area nursing homes. Their hard work reminds them of the value of serving others and the high calling of servant leadership.

Students seek sponsorships among friends, family members, and local businesses. As friends and family members sponsor a student in his or her service, they support the mission of Regents Academy and advance Christian education. Funds collected through these sponsorships are used to support the ongoing growth of Regents Academy and multiply our impact among our neighbors.

Parent Volunteers

God has designed each parent to make a unique contribution to Regents Academy. One way you can make your contribution is by volunteering. You can be involved in the life of the school, helping it as it serves families and adding your distinctive talents and personality to the school's ministry.

What can you do? Here are a few ideas:

  • Help prepare and serve hot lunch
  • Read in your child's classroom
  • Set-up or serve at a school dinner or reception
  • Make copies for a teacher
  • Serve as a room mom
  • Help with promotion and fundraising
  • Clean and organize the kitchen
  • Assist with grounds cleanup
  • Drive students for a class field trip
  • Help with next year's BIG Serve

Parents interested in volunteering should speak to Mr. Bryant, Mrs. DeKerlegand, or their child's teacher. You can contribute your time and talents to the school's ministry. Regents Academy relies on faithful parents who serve the school week-in and week-out.
